We were approached to design a unique, cone-shaped cup for the Oatly x Malibu collaboration—a limited-time marketing pop-up in London. The concept centred around an edible vessel filled with Malibu-flavoured ice cream. The challenge lay in creating a functional yet visually striking cup design that aligned with the playful and sustainable ethos of both brands, all within tight creative and logistical timeframes.
NexForm developed three distinctive cup concepts, each carefully modelled for both form and function. Using an ABS-like resin, we 3D printed small production runs for use in promotional photography and hands-on development. These prints allowed the client to assess dimensions, aesthetics, and real-world usability before full-scale production of the edible versions.
Our precision 3D models and prototypes played a vital role in bringing the concept to life. The final edible cone cups—based directly on our designs—were featured at the high-profile London pop-up, helping to create an engaging, memorable brand experience. NexForm’s input helped streamline development and ensured the product was production-ready and visually impactful.
